Home Office Messenger
We are looking for a number of Messengers to work at the Home Office to systematically deal with all aspects of the receipt, collection and distribution on internal and external mail
Your main duties would include:
" Taking delivery of all mail from the Royal Mail, Relay Service and other couriers as necessary
" Logging incoming/outgoing mail onto the RD system
" Using the X-Ray scanner
" Sorting mail and deliver to the appropriate internal delivery points
" Collecting mail from internal collection points as detailed locally.
" Preparing for collection by Royal Mail and other couriers all outgoing mail, ensuring that collection deadlines are met.
" Franking outgoing mail.
" Monitoring stock levels and order post related consumables as necessary.
" Attending training sessions and meetings as necessary.
The ideal candidates would be reliable, organised individuals with a keen eye for detail. The role is largely customer focused and contains an small element of lifting and carrying.
You will be required to pass a CTC security level check (counter terrorist check) - this would be processed free of charge for you but can take up to 2 months to clear so this is not an immediate start position.
£8 per hour - 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, based in Kirkstall, Leeds. This is a long term temporary assignment with no end date (ongoing rolling contract) with the potential to go permanent (although this cannot be guaranteed). Parking facilities available
