Working for Falmouth & Exeter Students' Union you will support the development of Exeter academic societies with a focus on encouraging student-led enterprising activity.
You will be involved in organising and overseeing a Dragon's Den style event for final year students and academic societies to pitch for funding.
You will help organise accredited training for student leaders to enhance their employability and skills development.
You will work with academic societies and staff from the University of Exeter to showcase best practice and develop opportunities for students to collaborate and explore enterprising ideas and activity.
Falmouth & Exeter Students' Union is an independent charity representing Falmouth & Exeter Students; The post is Term time only for 25 hours per week. Specific working hours and office locations to be arranged with the FXU Student Voice Director.
The post is located on the Penryn Campus, Cornwall.
Main duties:
The Project Assistant will be based in the FXU Student Union Office and fulfil duties including marketing, administration, communication with stake-holders and monitoring and evaluation to help achieve the deliverables of the service.
- Build a network of FXU academic societies and key university staff
- Organise and promote a Dragons Den style event on the Penryn Campus
- Organise suitable training for student leaders
- Assist FXU academic societies with developing enterprising activity and sharing best practice
- Create accurate records of student engagement with the project strands (academic societies/Dragons Den/Accredited training/enterprising activity)
- Help prepare an evaluation report and disseminate a breakdown of statistics to stakeholders
Other duties:
- Provide general administrative support as required.
- Foster good working relationships with internal departments
General:
- Specific working hours and office locations to be arranged with the FXU Student Voice Director.
- The post is located on the Penryn Campus, Cornwall. However, occasional travel to the Falmouth Campus may be required.

Other Requirements
Graduate of a UK university within the last 3 years
