The Company 

With a rich history dating back to 1923, Cavanna Homes is the South West’s largest independent house builder. Now run by the third generation of Cavannas, we construct beautiful new homes that customers love. 

We are currently looking for an Engineer to join our dedicated team in Torquay and support key phases of the property development process.

You will have the chance to get involved with a range of projects and support the ongoing success of one of the region’s leading privately-owned property developers. 

The Role 

As an Engineer, you will support the co-ordination of development infrastructure, as well as layout and utilities for our range of properties. 

In this key role, you will: 

- Manage the activities and performance of external consultants 
- Provide technical input during the entire pre-development process, including the land, planning and technical stages 
- Support the Commercial and Build Teams during the construction phase 
- Provide post-construction support with road and sewer adoptions 
- Travel to project locations throughout the South West 

About You 

To join us as an Engineer, you will need: 

- Experience of managing the infrastructure design process, including roads drainage and utilities 
- Knowledge of economic build methods and efficient design techniques 
- An understanding of the commercial process 
- Strong communication and team-working skills
