Day Service Support Assistant (2 posts)

£17,681 - £18,870 p.a.

Locations: Netherfield Day Services, Ley Street, Netherfield, NG4 2PH, and Broxtowe Day Services, Sunnyside Road Chilwell, NG9 4FR.

Day services South requires 2 x 37 hour day service support assistants; see above for locations. You will need to have at least one years experience in a care setting or working with people with disabilities. You will be required to hold the Health and Social care diploma level 2 certification or equivalent or be willing to work towards this standard.

We require the post holders to work flexibly as required across day services in the south providing a range of activities to our customers within a person centred framework. The role requires you to work alongside Day Service Support Workers and Care Workers in assisting with the on-going monitoring and assessment of customer needs. There will be an expectation to work closely with carers and other professionals, and have good interpersonal skills in order to provide a high standard of personal care and support whilst developing and maintaining the independence of our customers.

The successful post holder will be expected to share Nottingham County Council's commitment in providing a safe environment for our customers and staff, and treat all people with respect and consideration. You will be expected to comply with Health and Safety policies and other relevant legislation including general Data Protection regulations. You must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently or as part of a team
