General Operative

As a General Operative operating a 40T ADT reporting to the Quarry Operations Manager and operating to the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards, you'll play a key role in contributing to profitability by minimising waste and inefficiencies whilst maximising productivity. Operating both fixed and heavy mobile plant, you'll also undertake basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, working mainly day shifts and weekends as required to ensure we achieve production targets. In addition to plant and equipment inspections to ensure they are fit for purpose, report any defects, you'll also be involved in:
• Process Plant Production
• Loading shovel operation
• Maintaining daily/monthly records.

With maths and English to GCSE level and, preferably, some quarry experience or similar, you have sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and the ability to operate MEWP, telehandler and loading Shovel. A qualified first aider, able to work both independently and as part of a team, you're punctual and flexible with:
• the ability to work to deadlines and team ethic
• great customer focus
• a good timekeeping and attendance record.

Hours are 48 per week over a rolling 17 week period. Pay is monthly and there is a company pension scheme and 25 days' holiday per annum.
