Location – Stafford, with cover in Shrewsbury when needed
Salary – Cash Value – Schedule of Rates

An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Trade Operatives to join their Planned Maintenance Team.
In this role you will carry out all the traditional duties of a multi-skilled tradesman, including Plumbing, Carpentry, Wet trades and Brickwork, plus related finishes, and making good repairs, as requested by the Supervisor.
Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with all Health and Safety at Work regulations and codes of practice, including wearing protective clothing and safety equipment as supplied, and to all attend training as requested
All work-streams are predominantly site based with some requirement to attend local offices for training as required, with cover in their Shrewsbury operations when needed.
Installation of planned works in-line with the organisations improvement programme, particularly with regard to Bathroom and Shower room installations, with secondary trade of fitting kitchens.
Carry out general improvement works and complete items of a multi skilled nature.
These include but are not limited to:
· Strip out safely the existing kitchen / Bathroom / Shower Room and dispose to a location on site
· Installation of new kitchen base units and associated plinths, worktops with a butt and scribe finish, Wash hand basin and pedestal, Wc and Cistern, Shower Tray, Radiators. All to the highest standards available.
· All plumbing works as required.
· Clear all work areas and remove rubbish after completion of work.
· Effectively communicate with other staff members, residents etc. either over the telephone, by email or in person
The position is permanent but subject to a probation period
35hrs week, 5 days per week with a requirement for Out of hours duties on a shared rota basis.
Requirements:
· Previous experience as a multi-skilled tradesman
· Be willing to work under instruction and to a planned and targeted program
· Demonstrate good planning and organisation skills
· NVQ or City and Guilds in relevant trade
· Experience of working at height
· Experience of working within a team
· Full clean driving license
