Assistant School Nurse (Part Time)

EF Academy Torbay is an independent secondary school with boarding for international students aged 14 to 19 years. We educate and empower students based on the philosophy that students succeed when they feel cared for. 

The School seeks to appoint a highly motivated and committed Registered Nurse, starting as soon as possible. You will work alongside the School Nurse to support the health needs of our students both in school and in the boarding residences, as well as working closely with the boarding team to help maintain high levels of pastoral care and welfare of boarders. 

You will not only look after students who are ill or injured, but also play a key role in the promotion of good health within the school, especially within the boarding community. 

You will be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and preferably have experience in the management of first aid, minor illnesses and injury. Experience of working in paediatric child care and/or A&E would be advantageous. 

You will have a friendly and approachable personality and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. 

This is a part time role, working 20 hours per week during term time. 

Exemplar hours to be worked during term-time: 

2.30pm – 7.30pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday 
5 hours cover over Saturday and Sunday
