We have an exciting new opportunity having just arisen in Newquay amongst one of Cornwall's most iconic hotels.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, passionate commis chef who is looking to develop themselves within a fantastic 1 AA Rosette restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Our client is renowned for their development and training package and offer an abundance of resources aimed at helping employees achieve their goals ensuring you feel supported throughout your employment.

Our client owns a 4 silver star luxury hotel situated atop one of Cornwall's world famous beaches. Boasting stunning views and great locality the hotel provides for an eclectic mix of guest from your everyday surfer to executive businessman. The restaurant offers a unique and vibrant ocean-front 1 AA Rosette restaurant offering up a relaxed selection of fresh local dishes from seafood, fine cuts of meat to hearty pasta dishes.

We are are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Commis chef who is ready to help support the hotels 1 AA rosette Restaurant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Basic food prep and cooking whilst being on rotation across the kitchens different sections
  • checking on food stocks in all fridges and stores
  • working to the highest health, safety and hygiene standards
  • fast and dedicated service to customers orders as they come into the kitchen
  • Ability to work as part of a team whilst working under senior members of the kitchen brigade
  • Excellent time keeper, flexible and reliable with determination for self development within the kitchen

    • In return for your services you will be rewarded with a fantastic staff package, a salary of £19,545.00, annual tips and excellent chances for progression within the company.
