Accounts Assistant

Are you in the early stages of your accountancy career and looking to join a new firm with an excellent reputation in the area? My client in Cardiff are seeking a junior accountant to join their rapidly expanding team.

The practice currently seeks to recruit a candidate with at least 12 months of prior experience and ideally, though not essentially, having commenced AAT studies (the firm will support this moving forwards). Please note that unfortunately we will be unable to consider applicants who do not possess this core experience gained within the profession.

The successful candidate will offer forward thinking compliance services and advice to a wide range of clients, from start-up sole trader to established limited companies (trading below the audit threshold). The candidate will possess a basic working knowledge of:

• Accounts preparation

• VAT calculations and submissions

• Basic personal tax computations

• Basic exposure to company taxation advantageous (not essential)

• Client bookkeeping and payroll advantageous (not essential)

• A working knowledge of the practice lifecycle and billable time
