Site Services Engineer job based in Melton Mowbray. Day shifts, Monday to Friday. Salary up to GBP40k

Your new role
You will be required to systematically work through a programme and set up systems to ensure that Melton Foods meet both business and legal compliance at all times.
You main duties will include:
* Take prime responsibility for maintaining the list of all compliance areas including updating legislation and producing action plans to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
* Ensure site crisis plans and procedures are robust and reviewed regularly.
* Management of specific service contracts, including implementation, review and validation.
* Excellent site capacity understanding, supporting all functions.
* Deliver on all of the following but not exhaustive to legal compliance, energy, training, Legionella, fixed wiring, emergency lighting, LOLER, PTW, PUWER, structural buildings compliance, fire enclosures door and alarms, ammonia, DSEAR, HACCP, GMP, all procedures, projects, pips, environmental and KPI's.
* Extract data from sources including PM system, Carbon Desktop, Non-Productive Time, e-report, company policies and all other sources relevant to compliance.
* Deliver a first class pro-active service and support for all functions reliant on Site Services.
* Train and assist Engineering in compliance across all shifts.
* Manage compliance of Carbon Desktop initiatives including projects to reduce carbon usage.
* Manage and comply with power distribution requirements.
* Training and responsibilities specifically including PLC programming, robotics, 11KV, switching and power distribution requirements.
* Compliance with PIPs and savings initiatives, specifically PPM, Damage, Cost reduction processes, Health and Safety.
* Work pro-actively with contractors, agencies and other staff to ensure efficient and compliant running of the Bakery.
* Champion specific machinery and other projects relating to compliance.
* Brief out compliance data to all stakeholders on a monthly basis, must work to specific KPI's.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a Engineering apprenticeship with both academic and practical qualifications in two disciplines. I.e. HNC and NVQ 3. You will be skilled both mechanically and electrically with a functional understanding of the processes used in a manufacturing plant. You are analytical with the ability to look at actual and proposed tasks and their implications. You are practical in delivering the process and have the skills required to operate on a daily basis. You have hands on skills with machinery, are methodical and systematic and have good questioning and fault finding ability.
