The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association is the leading trade association for the vehicle rental and leasing sector in the UK, and are currently recruiting a full-time Learning and Development Programme Manager to energise and lead the L&D Function for the organisation.

This postholder will work as an integral part of the small organisation, working closely with the Director of Membership Services and the Chief Executive to develop and implement the learning and development programme for the association's members, whom make up a large portion of the entire industry.

Main responsibilities will include:

* Manage the current BVRLA training and development programmes, allocating and coordinating resources as appropriate
* Achieve budgeted targets for training income, e-licence fees and their associated costs
* Market and promote BVRLA training services
* Conduct needs analysis/ to attend cross-departmental reviews for each sector of BVRLA membership to identify the industry's training requirements, opportunities, resources and knowledge sources, including facilitating focus groups, creating/administering surveys, conducting research, liaising with BVRLA governance programme etc.
* Design, develop and deliver learning solutions to support the skills development of the industry, working with BVRLA members and utilising appropriate delivery mechanisms and learning methodologies.
* Participate in cross-departmental meetings and use feedback from BVRLA's conciliation and member audit departments to enhance training services
* Manage the day-to-day administrative operations, including managing suppliers of BVRLA's e-learning platform and training services, uploading and publishing the online course schedule, Training Brochure etc. managing course enrolments, administering post-training evaluation surveys and post-event assessments, taking enquiries etc.
* Act as centre manager for IMI centre accreditation
* Create a performance framework; update all learning metrics on a monthly, quarterly and year-end basis
* Review and evaluate learning delivered and make appropriate revisions and enhancements to ensure continuous improvement activities are effective
* Enhance learning partnerships internally and externally

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

* Experience as an L&D professional in the vehicle rental and leasing/automotive sector or Financial Services/Regulatory background
* Equally important is a natural curiosity about the automotive marketplace
* Experience designing, developing and delivering learning, including delivery via e-learning, webinars
* IT literate and a competent user of Microsoft Office tools especially PowerPoint, Dynamics, Word and Excel
* Familiarity with e-learning platforms and experience of developing e-learning materials
