Development Consultant (Mat Cover)
Part political, part business and part charity - NUS is a third sector membership organisation with a twist! Professionally run, but different. Collaborating with over 550 amazing member students' unions, we provide a huge range of services and support to them. With over 220 creative NUS colleagues working together every day to support elected student leaders make change in the world and improve the lives of students, we are all making a difference!
Position: Development Consultant (Mat Cover)
Location: Macclesfield / London / Home
Job type: Full Time, Temporary Fixed Term Contract (Mat Cover 12 Months)
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible working options including part-time and job share
Salary: GBP29,674 per annum

About the role:
An exciting opportunity to work with our membership over the coming 12 months has arisen due to impending maternity leave. Developing key resources across the breadth of organisational development themes, the Development Consultant role listens to the needs of the membership and turns these into engaging and meaningful materials. Using Quality Students' Unions as a framework, the Development Consultant networks with experts across a range of disciplines to add quality and credibility to everything we do. So, come and do something you love, somewhere a little bit different.
About you:
- You'll be at home managing a range of tasks simultaneously, using your own discretion to assign priority and being committed to excellence across your work
- With collaboration at the heart of your approach you'll be excited to work with colleagues and members to provide the support they need and ensure they are informed and engaged with national work
- You'll definitely be up for the exciting challenge of working with external stakeholders to draw down the very best information and guidance for our membership
- Your personal values will mean you are passionate about the power of a collective movement to create positive change in education and communities
