The job
Fundamentally a creative role, the business is seeking a highly creative food and beverage application technologist who will create a wide range of dishes for customer demonstrations and internal purposes such as team evaluation for new flavouring ranges.
You will plan and organise briefs, deputise for the Applications Manager as required, apply flavourings to various sweet and savoury food applications as well as soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and work closely with marketing, commercial and Flavourists in highlighting emerging trends in cuisines, cooking styles and ingredients. Some travel will also be required to attend customer presentations.
Your experience
To be considered for the Applications Technologist role, you will have a food/science related degree or equivalent and have previously worked within sweet or savoury food development as an NPD Chef, Product Developer or similar. Experience of using food ingredients is essential and use of flavourings would be an advantage. You will also have good numeracy skills, be able to follow recipes confidently and quickly as well as understanding deadlines are critical.
