The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Process Development - Advanced Research Engineer. The purpose of the role is to contribute to the Advanced Tooling & Fixturing technology theme through delivery of allocated projects for MTC's customers, operating within the Process Development team.

The Role
Duties and responsibilities for the Process Development - Research Engineer are:

- To deliver the qualification of developed solutions and future state processes through applied problem solving.
- Conducting research and benchmarking relative technologies for deployment to MTC projects.
- To gain familiarity and eventually expertise within process automation, tooling, and fixturing across a broad range of industries.
- Author reports, deliver technical presentations and generate project proposals for customer projects.
- Identify and progress the development of customer and Core Research Project (CRP) opportunities.
- Manage and deliver customer projects in line with the MTC Project Management Process. Ensuring the quality, delivery, cost management and safety of yourself and others at all times whilst adhering to MTC values.

The Person

The successful candidate for the Process Development - Research Engineer role will:

- A BEng degree in an appropriate engineering subject or BSc in an appropriate STEM subject.
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing, process or design engineering role.
- Evidence of working alone and within a team, with some project management experience.
- Evidence of undertaking research in a manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing and assembly technologies and processes.
- Able to demonstrate innovation by the generation of concepts and the demonstration of creative abilities
