Hull College Group is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 learners every year.

We are looking for a Chef to join our Catering team where you will prepare, cook and serve food and beverages for all areas of the Catering Service, making sure that dishes are produced to the required standard, ensuring quality and profitability. This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, for 41 weeks of the year.

Within the role you will be responsible for preparing food and beverages for special events which includes hospitality and open events. Supervising and participating in the kitchen, front counter and dining area set up and shut down, you will be responsible for the levels of stock and requisition of goods, completing relevant documentation where necessary.

We are looking for someone who has a Level 2 in Food Safety coupled with experience in a similar role. With a working knowledge of stock control and of completing orders, you will be experienced in till work and cash handling, and will have an organised approach to work.

A team player with excellent communication skills, you will have a calm and patient manner and will be able to manage and motivate others.
