Team Manager

A unique opportunity for a Team Manager to join the Family Wellbeing Service leadership team at Barnardos. In this role you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of the specialist wellbeing service for families in Cardiff.

This is a part time position, working 30 hours per week.

Person specification

You should be able to demonstrate that you have used the following skills in previous employment, education or training:

• Extensive experience of working within safeguarding protocols and procedures, identifying and managing risk.
• Experience of managing and supporting a multi-disciplinary team.
• Confident establishing and developing strategic professional networks.
• Extensive current knowledge of legislation, key policy and local practice affecting Children, Young People and Families.
• Able to oversee data collection for reporting.
• Experience delivering seminars and service awareness sessions.

Team Manager duties

• Supervising and supporting a multi-disciplinary team
• Triaging referrals
• Helping to maintain stakeholder relationships
• Working with partner agencies to share appropriate learning and information
• Direct involvement with casework, as required.

At Barnardo's we believe in children – no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.

The Wellbeing Service delivers targeted, appropriate evidence-based interventions for children, young people and their families who are in need of significant support for emotional, mental health and wellbeing issues. We provide access to counselling, one-to-one support and interventions.

Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding until 31st March 2021 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.
