The role
The role will be responsible for having day to day contact with Brokers offering a variety of Commercial products.
Day to day
* Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues
* Adhere to underwriting standards
* Ensure instructions and good practice are in place to minimise risk and maximise efficiency
* Assist in the deployment, specification and maintenance of the underwriting systems
* Write within level of authority and refer anything outside authority level to the Commercial Underwriting Manager
* Negotiating rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business
* Supporting colleagues
* Maximise retention
* Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines
* Participate in the review and analysis of the portfolio
* Contribute to the aggregate management and peer review process to encourage and develop excellence
* Assist other departments where appropriate and required from time to time
About you
* Commercial Combined underwriting experience
* Excellent English speaking and writing skills
* IT Literate including: Excel, Word & Outlook
