Job Title: 3.5 Tonne Parcel Delivery & Collection Van Driver
Location: Fareham PO14
Pay starts from GBP9 per hour
Up to GBP11.50 for overtime/weekend work) Pay rise after 13 weeks service and 26 weeks to around GBP12 an hour!
Ideally you will have worked for a large national parcel distribution company previously, but as a minimum all applicants MUST have previous experience of intense multi-drop deliveries in the UK
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO MAKE A ONE TIME TRIP TO SOUTHAMPTON TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL PAPER WORK FOR THIS JOB
3.5 Tonne Multi Drop Van Drivers required for an on going contract for a Parcel Delivery company (LWB Sprinter type van which will be provided by the client for work purposes only)
This position is expected to start in about 10 working days (subject to vetting). We are looking for people who are available for long term work as the best people are likely to be offered permanent contracts.
Typical hours could fall between 7am-7pm Monday- Friday with overtime payable after 8 hours each day. Optional overtime on weekends during the busy periods.
The role is to collect and deliver parcels to residential homes and businesses across the South while proving tracking information. This is fast paced work and requires route planning so good knowledge of the local area is essential
Applicants must be able to safely lift parcels up to 30kg, and be able to deliver a minimum of 70 drops per day within their defined postcode area
Anyone applying should have previously worked as a Multi Drop Delivery Driver (ideally parcel delivery), be well presented, and have a personable nature. Due to elements of customer service and completion of vital paperwork, candidates are required to have a good grasp of the English language both written and spoken.
Applications cannot be accepted from anyone who has an unspent criminal record for fraud, violence, sexual offences or theft.No CCJ's. Due to the nature of the role, the company requires an in depth security clearance check . Anyone who can not provide honest information will automatically be rejected
