Our client is a long-established leader in its’ field, operating in a manufacturing environment. It is a multi-business group moving from a consolidation and restructure phase to considered growth after recent investment. 

To assist the Group FD and the finance team with the month end process, including preparation of monthly management accounts, consolidations, cash management, reports, helping to improve the internal controls, policies and processes along with ad-hoc projects and day to day running of the department. 

Reporting to the FD and working with the Executive and Management teams - advising and providing meaningful commentary to reports and statistics 
Assisting and working closely with the Assistant Accountant, providing accounting and financial analysis 
Preparation and Review of journals, performing reconciliations and analysis 
Lead / Control for stock takes 
Capex, Cashflow and Fixed Asset Register 
Reconciliation and preparation of scheduled reports covering Bank Accounts, PAYE, CIS, VAT and other statutory requirements 
Looking to improve current practices and engender an environment of collaboration 

Are professionally Qualified with a solid understanding of statutory accounting consolidations. 
Ideally you will have gained some of your experience in a manufacturing environment 
You believe you can add value by taking a strategic role and providing professional advice 
Excellent communication skills balanced with pragmatism and personality 
Have sound IT and systems knowledge – you’re tech-savvy and know how to best use this to the advantage of process improvements and to gain efficiencies 
Aren’t frightened by a bit of pressure; some might even say you thrive in an environment like this. 
You have a wider commercial awareness, with the ability to contribute to meaningful advice and considered strategies.
