You could be the bridge between a young persons happiness and life goals. You will have to provide a safe environment and promote the young peoples welfare within the children's home. You will need to ensure that the environment is homely, welcoming, clean, tidy and well maintained, whilst sharing the responsibility with other colleagues. You will be working closely with the young people so you must ensure that records and files are kept confidential and stored away appropriately.

Planning structured activities are vital for the young people, allowing them to actively take part in their hobbies and outings. It is Important to develop a positive self-view and increase their ability to form and sustain attachments, build emotional resilience and a sense of their own identity. Encouraging young people is one of the main important tasks you must consider, helping them to build relationships through positive engagement, coaching and mentoring.

Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent
3 years Experience
Stable work history and solid References
Salary - £21,000 - £23,000
