Excellent opportunity to lead transformation in a Trust-wide operational role Deputy Director of Operations Band 8d Dartford Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust serves a local population of 350,000 in North Kent based across two main sites; Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup. As Deputy Director of Operations, you will sit centrally in a Trust-wide role and report to the Trust's Board-level Director of Operations, deputising for her when necessary. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading a portfolio of Trust-wide operational initiatives including emergency planning, winter planning, and liaison with the wider health care system. Managing a range of service transformation schemes Interfacing with partner organisations to progress development and optimisation of care journeys for patients and their families. Leading the Trust's site management team and work closely with the Trusts PMO project management office on transformation activity To succeed, you will need a strong background in operational management within healthcare together with a track record of leading and delivering large scale, cross-organisational change in a results-driven environment. You'll have significant engagement with key internal and external stakeholders in this role, so strong communication and collaboration skills will be vital. You'll need to be a strategic thinker, capable of seeing the bigger picture and working effectively with Board members. The Trust has a strong commitment to equality and diversity.
