The Open University has been transforming lives since 1969 by opening up higher education to all sections of the community.

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to deliver information and advice services to students and prospective students as we work together to ensure that a growing number of learners in Wales recognise and enjoy the benefits of part-time distance learning with the Open University.

Working within the Student Recruitment and Support Team in Wales, you will be expected to cover the full range of student support activities but will spend a considerable proportion of your time (at least 50%) providing proactive support to disabled students. The role has the following key elements:

  • To deliver information and advice to students and prospective students in relation to all aspects of Open University study
  • To ensure that complex guidance needs and issues are identified and referred as appropriate
  • To discuss study needs with disabled students and facilitate appropriate support
  • To work closely with faculty staff, Associate Lecturers, and other university departments to enable continuous educational support for students’ needs.

  • Darparu gwybodaeth a rhoi cyngor i fyfyrwyr a darpar fyfyrwyr ar bob agwedd ar astudio gyda’r Brifysgol Agored
  • Sicrhau bod anghenion cyngor cymhleth a materion yn cael eu nodi a’u hatgyfeirio, fel sy’n briodol
  • Trafod anghenion astudio gyda myfyrwyr anabl a hwyluso cymorth priodol
  • Gweithio’n agos gyda staff y gyfadran, Darlithwyr Cysylltiol, ac adrannau eraill y brifysgol er mwyn diwallu anghenion addysgol parhaus myfyrwyr
