Head Chef

A rare opportunity has arisen at Tonbridge School, one of the leading Boys' boarding Schools in the country and highly respected internationally. The School employs over 800 people including more than 100 Catering staff. Our Catering Department produces over 12,000 meals a week and all meals are prepared in house using fresh, seasonal produce. 

Working under the guidance of our Executive Chef in our busy Orchard Centre kitchen serving five Day Houses, the Head Chef will produce high quality food for boys and staff during term-time and residential guests during holiday periods. The Head Chef will be supported by a great team, including the School's own Butcher and Baker.

We are looking for a professional Head Chef who is proficient in all aspects of fresh food preparation and a natural leader. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in similar role and be organised, self-motivated, flexible, with a good knowledge of the current cooking trends.

This is full-time position, working any five days in seven on a four-week rota, to include some evenings and alternate weekends.
