We are recruiting for Refuse Loaders, to work from our clients main depot located on the outskirts of Calne. The main function of the role is to work as part of a team of three, to collect kerbside recycling goods from residential areas, which are then segregated, transported and returned to this recycling facility.
The successful candidates must have experience working outdoors and dealing with the general public. This is a physically demanding role and you will be required to undertake basic health and safety, manual handling and banksman training prior to starting your assignment. You will be working in all weather conditions therefore, you must be prepared for this and it is also essential you are an effective team player.
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- To Collect recyclable waste from residential property safely, securely, punctually and in accordance with the company policy.
- Manual handling - Ensuring health and safety procedures and adhered and all waste is transported in a safe and secure manner.
- Banksman duties - Working closely with your driver, to ensure accident prevention legislations are followed and all instructions are taken and relayed correctly to your team.
- Representing the organisation professionally and dealing with all customers and members of the public in a friendly and personable manner, at all times.
The working week will be 37 hours and daily hours will be -
0hrs Monday to Thursday
0hrs Friday
Overtime is sometimes required during busy periods and available the occasional Saturday following Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
Full PPE, training and a health and safety induction will be provided.
