Part of the BMW Group, BMW Group Financial Services is a globally active financial services company. We offer dealers, corporate and private customers around the world customised financial services revolving around automobiles, from financing to leasing.    

We are now looking for two Underwriters to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract that has the potential to extend.

The Role 

As an Underwriter, you will make underwriting decisions on various proposals submitted by retailers and partners. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will: 

- Evaluate financial data 
- Make swift and responsible lending decisions 
- Accept or decline credit applications, including negotiation of terms 
- Highlight potential fraud and money laundering cases 
- Work with Business Manager, Regional Managers and internal teams 

About You 

To join us as an Underwriter, you will need: 

- At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above in Maths and English 
- Excellent attention to detail 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills 
- The ability to make independent decisions 

Ideally, you will have experience in an underwriting role, but this is not essential. 

Other organisations may call this role Junior Underwriter, Trainee Underwriter, Assistant Underwriter, Junior Commercial Underwriter, Loans Underwriter, Client Services Advisor or Customer Service Advisor. 

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work 7 day shifts, including some weekends. Shifts are Monday – Friday, between 8:00 – 19:00, Saturday, between 9:00 – 18:00 and Sunday, 10:00 – 16:00. When you work weekends, you will receive time off in lieu. 

As this is a high-risk lending role, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a full credit check.
