Salary £20,495 pa
Fixed Term until 31 March 2019
(35 hours per week)
The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Rents team within our Finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for processing the rent accounting function for the Group.
As part of this role, you will maintain the Group’s rent ledger in respect of all tenants and leaseholders, ensuring all payments received by whatever method are processed on to the rent ledger each day. You will be required to check authorised routine rent adjustments and process them onto the clients’ accounts; which will be from requests and information that is supplied by other departments. You will assist the Senior Finance Officer to carry out the period end turnover of the rent system, which will include weekly and monthly debits, checking that procedures are completed by the required deadline and resolving any issues arising from the debit(s).
Skills/Experience Required
The successful candidate will have 3 GCSE’s or (equivalent qualification) including Maths and English at grade C or above. Experience of using Microsoft Excel and data entry of medium to high volumes of transactions. With this in mind, attention to detail and accuracy is of paramount importance.
