Location: Ipswich

Job Requirements:
The role??? This is an opportunity for an Audit Assistant to join the Corporate Division in Ipswich to support with a growth in client work. The role will involve preparing financial statements and taxation computations, being a member and effectively providing a hands on compliance and /or advisory role. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate???

* Ability to multitask and manage a number of different deliverables
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written

More information on the role: Accounts, Audit and Taxation:
* Drafts or reviews the financial statements
* Prepares or reviews the corporation tax computations
* Prepares an audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
* Takes an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
* Oversees all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
* Ensures planned audit/accounts work is appropriately completed to satisfy objectives
* Communicates any issues relating to an job with manager or partner including matters which arising which were not identified at the planning stage
* Prepares or reviews audit documentation
* Ensures the efficient use of appropriate software packages (Caseware)
* Delegates work with other members of the team ensuring juniors understand their responsibilities and have received appropriate on-the-job training/coaching
* Produces commercial management reports, specifically drafting sections of the report to management
* Addresses, discusses and advances conclusion in respect of technical and audit/taxation issues identified during the course of the task
* Controls the job in relation to timescales, budgets and risk managements procedures
* Provides feedback through regular communication and timely assignment appraisal
Clients:
* Maintains up to date understanding of clients business
* Maintains good working relationships with client staff
* Is aware of the wide range of Larking Gowen services and spots opportunities to potentially sell those services to clients
Desirables: Education and qualification:
* Completed a degree or completed a professional qualification such as AAT.
* Math and English Language at GCSE or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience of working with an external client base
Experience of assisting in the preparation of client accounts
Experience of using Microsoft packages, internet, email and computerised accounts packages
Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities
Experience of accounting software packages and similar programmes
Experience of coaching or mentoring colleagues
