Remote Technical Support Junior Role – 1st & 2nd Line desktop and remote support

Why are we recruiting?
Due to in-house promotions and expansion into new support areas, we are looking for a keen and committed individual to join our friendly IT support team. This position will be based in Hertford at our main office in the Foxholes Business Park.
Are you suitable?
Based in our offices in Hertford, we are looking for a keen self-motivated individual to join our award-winning help desk to help provide support to Businesses and NHS. Aptitude and attitude are as important as experience. Full training on all aspects of the job are provided. Applicants must have at least 1 years’ experience in IT support although more experience generally equals higher starting salary. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate care and attention to detail whilst being polite and helpful with any support. Ideally, we would prefer local people for this role due to travelling though all applicants are considered.
This role will cover the early stages of helpdesk support. Once trained, the successful applicant will be expected to answer calls from customers in a professional and friendly manner, whilst efficiently diagnosing faults. To ensure accurate and thorough call logging a high attention to detail is required. The severity of the fault must then be assessed and prioritised as required. At this point diagnostics can be performed in addition to remote work if applicable. Helpdesk support would apply primarily for workstations and printers but also a range of peripherals. In-house training will be given as required.
Ideal applicants need to have experience in a similar role, or any of the following:
- Computer support via telephone & email
- General IT Remote support
- A practicing knowledge of windows 7, 8 & 10
- Experience of supporting Office products
Hours of work
The support desk covers the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm. Hours of work are negotiable on the following times:
8.00am – 4.30pm
9.00am – 5.30pm
10.00am – 6.30pm
The initial working times are 9am - 5.30pm with an option to change after the probation period.
Salary & Benefits
Based on relevant experience, qualifications:
18-22k per annum
All posts at ITS Digital are subject to a 6-month probation period with standard contract and terms being provided after this period.
ITS Digital run a company pension plan that all members of staff will be automatically enrolled into. This can be opted out of if preferred. In addition, employees are enrolled into our employee health insurance plan in the first policy renewal date after completing their first year of employment.
The holiday entitlement is 28 days including bank holidays accrued over the calendar year.
