Our client operates an award winning apprenticeship programme which is helping many young people find different routes into work.

Working as part of their Commercial Services teams, based in Kidderminster, you will be mentored by an appointed trades person and gain experience for all areas of the business including installation, repairs and maintenance.

You will initially train as a Level 2 Carpentry Apprentice for two years on a rotating programme within our New Build, Modernisations, Repairs and Voids services. Following this you will progress onto an additional two year apprenticeship qualification in either Property Maintenance at Level 2 or carpentry at Level 3
Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the organisation. You will train as a carpentry apprentice and carry out a variety of duties including the installation and repair of:

-window frames
-doors and frames
-timber floors and joists
-roof timbers, fascias, barge boards and soffits
-ironmongery
-1st fix – new build
-2nd fix – new build
-stairs and handrails
-kitchen units

A keen interest in carpentry and an aptitude for practical and physical work is essential. You will be responsible for meeting college deadlines in order to achieve within the 4 year period.

You will need good literacy and numeracy skills. You will be expected to be able to achieve a level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English as part of your Level 2 apprenticeship. Some work experience in construction would be an advantage.
