An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team based in Brighton.

Within this role, you will supervise and manage the operation of designated sites on a daily basis and will be responsible for a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring handovers are delivered in line with the contract KPI.

Whilst monitoring and controlling work flows, you will act as a mentor to operatives and trainees and will monitor the progress and completion of works to both foreman and the team of operatives. In addition, you will manage the use of subcontractors, and will ensure they comply with all company standards of work performance, customer service and procedures.

The successful Assistant Site Manager will act as a focal point in respective teams alongside coordinating the allocation of work to the team of operatives whilst liaising with customer service and clerical support team members. Organising and directing operatives to guarantee continuity and improve productivity, you will act as a liaison point on site for Mears Management and the clerk of works in the absence of supervisors.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of internal and external works coupled with previous experience of working in Social Housing environment. With resident liaison experience, you should have experience of supervising operatives and subcontractors.

With a relevant H&S qualification and asbestos awareness, you will ideally have experience of working in conjunction with a Local Authority Client along with a CSCS Card and Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Training.

Although not essential to the position, it would be beneficial if candidates hold a CITB or equally approved Scaffolding Inspection Certification. Moreover, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong customer focus and the ability to succeed in our dynamic team.
