Humberside Engineering Training Association HETA is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.

HIGH VOLTAGE ENGINEER for Instructor Role (Hull ) £30,000 + benefits

We are looking for an individual with suitable ability and background who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers.

This position will involve:

Delivering electrical training and assessments across a range of high and low voltage courses using teaching methods and materials as appropriate. Short courses are delivered at HETA training facilities in Hull and on-site at clients’ premises in the UK and some overseas delivery may be required by mutual agreement.

Undertaking preparation and marking of candidates’ assessment reports Maintain and encourage effective communication with and between all candidates.

Providing candidates with feedback and guidance to support their learning and enhance their knowledge and progress.

Contribution to the design and development of new courses as appropriate.

Attendance of standardisation meetings at the Faraday Centre in Redcar to ensure quality and consistency of delivery is achieved.

Promotion the agreed Company policies for Health, Safety & Environment, Equal Opportunities, etc. and any other policy the Company adopts for the welfare of employees, candidates and visitors, by carrying out appropriate procedures and practices.

Working closely with customer enquiries to ensure that their requirements are met, bespoke courses are designed as requested and quotations for delivery are given in timely manner, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.

Any other duties commensurate with this post that the Chief Executive deems important and suitable for the Company and the post holder after appropriate consultation with the post holder.

The successful applicant will have good technical skills, good interpersonal skills, and more than five years relevant experience.

Relevant qualifications to at least HNC level is essential, up to degree level qualifications desirable. Assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.

A full driving licence and use of own vehicle is essential.
