The opportunity has arisen for an experienced machinist to work with an international heavy engineering company which specialises in the production of bespoke steel castings and forgings.
My client has a requirement for experienced CNC machinists to operate a Multi Axis Milling Machine with Siemens 840D control, employed in the milling of complex geometries of forgings and castings for applications in the power generation sector.
The role:
* Operate 5 Axis
* Self-check inspection of parts produced
* Assist in loading and off-loading parts to machine
* To always promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed.
* All other duties commensurate with the role
Ideally you will have/be:
* Apprentice trained as a machinist
* Experience of multi axis machining (minimum 5-axis)
* Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
* Knowledge of modern tooling
* A full understanding or health and safety and the ability to work safely
* Previous experience in a medium to heavy engineering environment
* Team working ability
* A flexible attitude to the work demands of the role
