Greencore Selby are currently recruiting for a Newtech Operator to join our Production team. You will be working on a 3 shift rotating pattern including mornings, afternoons and nights. The role covers 5 days a week between Sunday to Friday.
Main responsibilities
* Line troubleshooting and performance improvement;* Quality Assurance processes;* Adherence to food manufacturing techniques to production sauce cooking production- Good Manufacturing Processes;* Consider health and safety, quality issues and their implications;* Troubleshoot and help maintain efficiencies with mechanical and procedural understanding of the NEWTECH;* Ensure that all relevant quality data documentation is completed for the Newtech;* Liaise with Area Process Leader and team members;* React in a flexible manner to all reasonable requests to maintain the line performance;* Maintain all safety and hygiene regulations;* Quickly and safely deal with any broken glass according to the SOP's- glass breakage procedures.* Must undertake training to be able to work on the line as part of the team as and when required.* Ability to work on own initiative whilst under pressure and deliver high performance.* Be multi skilled in other roles of the same pay scale, also the flexibility of running more than one machine at the same time.* Resolving minor issues, mechanical and procedural;* Mentoring and assisting with the training of new staff.Ideal candidate
* Good basic education must be numerate and literate to NVQ Entry level 3* Food Safety Level 2 (training can be given)* Health & Safety Level 2 (training can be given)* Essential - flexible, hard working;* Good organisational skills;* Attention to detail;* Problem solver;* Self confident and decisive under pressure.* Desirable - HACCP.* Must be willing to undertake on-going training relevant to the role e.g. SMI, Labeller, Logopak etc.* Numeracy and analytical ability to follow problem solving and production plans;* The ability to liaise effectively with team members, supervisors and managers;* Must be flexible with an eye for details and have excellent organisational skills.* Using cleaning chemical training can be given)* HACCP knowledge (training can be given)* Understanding of processes and product quality standardsAbout the company
