Quality Engineer

Would you like to join an expanding team that will have the ability to impact on supplier Deliverables if so we currently have a vacancy for a Quality Engineer at our site in Barrow In Furness.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing Supplier Deliverables on the Astute Programme. This involves reviewing Supplier Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Plans and ensuring the correct stakeholders are involved where necessary.

This role will provide you with the ability to drive significant improvements and add value to the business and customer

Your main responsibilities as a Quality Engineer will involve:

The role will also involve supporting Supply Chain in the major sub contract process and may also be accountable for communicating directly with suppliers

This involves reviewing Supplier Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Plans and ensuring the correct stakeholders are involved where necessary

This Quality Engineer role will be responsible for managing Supplier Deliverables on the Astute Programme

To work with other business stakeholders in the procurement of major equipment

Your skills and qualifications as a Quality Engineer:

Essential

Good Understanding/Experience of Quality Assurance

Experience of supplier interface

Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis experience.

Good IT skills including SAP, Microsoft Office packages including Excel.

Beneficial

Quality Audit qualification: ISO 9001: 2008/2015 or AS 9100.

Knowledge/experience of working in an Engineering or Manufacturing Background

ONC level qualification or relevant experience in a Quality or supply chain role.
