Are you someone who has experience of working with children & young adults? Can you provide them with a high level of support and have a dynamic approach to risk management in order to support problems that they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation.

My client is looking to recruit a Mental Health Team Leader to support the team & work alongside the Residential Manager will be working a residential service with young people who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure childrens homes staff team have created a positive, friendly environment to support the young people in the pathway recovery, supported by effective multidisciplinary team. All the young people actively participate in the completion of the Mental Health Recovery and have individualised care plans in order to be supported to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.

As part of the role you will provide the highest standard of care possible to all the young people, closely following their individual care plans and programmes.
You will take overall responsibility in conjunction with the Deputy and Registered Manager in ensuring the running of the home to its highest possible standards.

Our ideal candidate will have a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care for children and young people (Or willingness to work towards this)
Experience in working within residential services for children/young adults
Ability to supervise staff
Awareness and basic understanding of the Legislation and Guidance relevant to young people in residential care
Able to work shifts within a 24/7 day per week

This is a full time temp to perm position paying £9 per hour / £19,080 per annum
