English Graduate Teaching Assistant - Birmingham Secondary School - Starts ASAP
Are you a high achieving English graduate with a 1st or 2:1 class degree looking to work as a Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School?
Do you command a love of literacy and writing that you're able to share with pupils in a secondary school?
Would you like to work in a supportive, creative and dynamic English department?

Based in Birmingham this 11-16 Secondary school are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support in their English Department. This role is a full time, 5 day a week post and will require the successful applicant to support pupils both in groups and on a 1-2-1 basis. You should have excellent English skills, an A - C in English at A-level and a 2:1 degree or higher in an English degree subject. You will be required to work with pupils who require extra support to reach targeted attainment levels and should be confident in your own ability to improve literacy.
The Head Teacher has a clear vision and ambition for the school to keep developing and establishing itself as a centre of excellence. The school plays an important role in community cohesion at all levels, and possesses a multi-cultural diversity throughout.
These roles is ideal for a graduates who having completed a Degree based around English and are keen to gain experience in preparation for future teacher training. You will be provided with an insight into the day to day running of the school, which possesses a committed and dedicated teaching staff.
