This client Secondary School located in Birmingham have contact Edustaff to assist them in recruiting a Maths Graduate Learning Support Assistant to support in their Maths department on a full time basis for a one year contract to start at the turn of the academic year in September.

The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background and a degree based around Mathematics. The school has recently been awarded the grade of "Good" by OFSTED, as has the Senior Management Team, with all teachers being graded as either "good" or better. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn from the best!

The school is a relatively large learning establishment with nearly 1500 pupils on the roll, included in this is a growing 6th form. The academy was part of the 'Building Schools for the Future' programme with GBP27 million spent giving the school brand new facilities and high quality ICT.

The staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are the school's greatest asset. Many have been at the school for some time. None have stood still. They have a good mix of new and experienced staff that are good-humoured and very supportive.

The school has an inclusive ethos and is as proud of its role in the community and the development of the pupils as well rounded young adults as it is of the excellent exam results they produce. You will be expected to embrace the ethos of the school and support pupils both on a 1-2-1 basis and in groups. Using strong skills in Mathematics the successful Learning Support Assistant will face a variety of different challenges and tasks on a daily basis. You will need to be organised, enthusiastic and extremely flexible in order to meet the changing demands of a classroom.
