Due to expansion, our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team based in Wakefield and covering projects primarily throughout the Yorkshire & Humber Region. 

The role requires you to manage developments for the Group throughout the whole cycle, ie from site appraisal to practical completion & handover.

As a Project Manager within the Development function of the business you could expect some of your daily duties to consist of:

  • Identifying and appraising suitable schemes for the Groups development programmes
  • To achieve cost effective delivery of development project within specified & agreed deadlines
  • To be actively engaged in any and all regeneration activities that promotes the Group and could lead to new business or other commercial opportunities
  • To maintain evidence necessary to demonstrate compliance with any external accreditations that are required relating to any and all development activity
  • Assist in identifying funding opportunities and preparing capital bids to all relevant funding bodies and then to prepare and assess appraisals and scheme viability in accordance with development procedures and in consultation with the Finance department

The ideal candidate for this position would have the following skills & experiences:
 

  • Experience of managing construction to Homes England Development Standards
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of the whole development cycle & project management
  • Practical working experience in housing – either private sector or social housing OR Project Management experience in construction & development works

Due to the nature of the role, a full valid driving license with access to a vehicle for work purposes is required.

The salary for this role will rise to £33,992 per annum after a tenure with the company and a satisfactory level of work.
