Stores Operative

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Stores Operative to join the Maintenance Engineering team at Hasse Workshop based in Soham, Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage the engineering inventory and stock – ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of parts, materials and supplied to workshop engineers. Responsible for all goods in/out and stores area to comply with H&S, Insurance requirements and to maintain area in tidy and orderly manner. Keep the stores secure and make sure that when parts/tools/cleaning materials etc are issued/received, that they have been properly recorded for accountability Assist the site supervisor in compiling monthly/annual KPI’s Produce and maintain weekly / periodically or annual stock reports. Update and maintain existing database. Maintain software, scanners and batteries. Responsible for maintenance and service agreements for Storage system (KARDEX) and contact service engineers in case of break downs. Responsible for adequate issue of PPE. Order, keep and store PPE for the engineering team.

Person specs:

Possess good attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy in all elements of work undertaken; Be a confident communicator Have good IT skills – keeping on top of emails, scanning and saving documents electronically, using finance software; Be conscientious and diligent; Be a self-starter – at times will need to work unattended, and should be able to make productive use of this time;

Working hours: 40-50 per week with overtime rates applicable aftter 40 working hrs
