Software Developer

A Software Developer is required to join this dynamic organisation with continuous change in a very competitive market both globally and in the UK. This company, a circa £100m Turnover Company requires a Developer & Software Support Engineer to develop & support software applications.

This is a new position which has been created due to the growing need for both internal and external applications to support the UK business. This company is located across 4 locations in the UK.

Your Tasks

- You will work closely with the IT Project Manager to develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Be able to develop & Maintain software solutions to specification
- Create & Maintain documentation for software applications
- Create & Maintain user guides for software applications
- Your role will involve testing and fault finding in software applications
- You will build & Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
- 1st / 2nd line software support for both internal customers
- You will have weekly project progress reporting to the IT Project Manager
- You must support the IT Project Manager with management of 3rd party developers/ suppliers

Your Profile

- You have strong communication skills both written and verbal
- You should have good telephone manner particularly with supporting external clients
- Be someone who is creative but objective as well as forward thinking when it comes to developing new solutions.
- Someone with 2 years minimum experience with relational database systems, preferably SQL
- You should be knowledgeable in the following software programmes: C# 6, MS SQL server, ASP MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS (Bootstrap).
- It is also desirable to have knowledge in the following software programmes: Telerik Kendo UI an MS Team Foundation Server.
- You will need to have the ability to organise and manage multiple priorities as well as have the ability to validate and transpose user requirements into technical specifications
- You should be creative and have out of the box thinking when designing new features for applications.
- You must have high level of attention to detail
