THE COMPANY
Were working alongside a leading automotive manufacturer who is searching for a Packing Operative to join their site based in Peterlee. The role is working within a busy manufacturing environment and will expect standard working hours of 39 per week which will be across a 2 shift rotation pattern.
THE ROLE
-Operating machinery on a fast-paced / high speed manufacturing process.
-Operating and controlling machines to standard operating procedures.
-Responsible for own quality and meeting production demands.
-Responsible for cleaning and basic maintenance of production machines.
-Active involvement in housekeeping and 5S
-Active involvement in continuous improvement schemes.
-Operating overhead pendant crane
-In process quality checks
-Achieve daily production targets
-Record and log key information
-Loading/unloading machines
-Maintain process quality standards
-Adhere to safe working practices at all times
-Strapping pallets for shipment
-Box painting
THE EXPERIENCE
-Previous experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment
-Educated to at least CSE or GCSE, above grade C, which must be inclusive of Maths & English or equivalent qualifications and experience
-All applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours and overtime as you will be required to meet the needs and demands of the business
-The applicant must be honest, reliable and flexible with numerical accuracy
-Team orientated
THE CONTRACT
This is a permanent role working a 39 week which includes a 2 shift rotating pattern.
THE SALARY
The role is offering a competitive hourly rate which increases after an initial probation period.
