Residential Children's Support Worker

We have a rewarding opportunity to join a small organisation who support children who have or have had traumatic backgrounds or are in crisis.
This role is based home which supports a small number of vulnerable children and young people. The vision is to enable individuals to have fun and enjoy their time there whilst helping to develop their social, emotional and education skills. This role will involve everything from taking to school and helping with school performance to cooking meals and taking part in activities such as rafting or going to the cinema. You will be working 1-1 with the young person, acting as a professional parent, providing stability and building trusting and supportive relationships with them. You will be a experienced and senior member of the team, providing support and guidance to other support staff when needed.

Contract: £19,000- £21,000 p
40 hours per week + 2-3 sleep ins per week.
Shifts start at 9 and finish at 11pm. You will do 2-3 sleep ins per week which are usually after shift and finish at 10am.

Qualifying Candidates
For this role you will need to be a Driver with your own vehicle, have NVQ/ QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People and experience working in residential services with young people. We are looking for a person who is passionate about the wellbeing of children, calm and approachable and who has knowledge of safeguarding and challenging behaviour.

This home requires support workers over the age of 21 due to the requirements of their service users.
