The Farm:

We are seeking an experienced and competent Herd Manager to join our client's team on a growing 500 cow dairy herd in Cornwall. Milking is done three times daily in a modern 60 point rotary parlour. Housing is in sand-bedded cubicles.

The Role:

The main focus of this role will be to take responsibility for herd management and to lead a team of 4 in an excellent working environment.

The Applicant:

• Must be an experienced Stockperson who takes pride in ensuring high standards are maintained across all aspects of herd care.
• Competent and experienced in the day-to-day herd management including all veterinary care, as well as the organisation of AI, foot trimming and accurate record keeping.
• Must have experience and competence in milking in modern milking parlours.
• Must be a confident team leader

Accommodation:

The accommodation on offer for this role will be a Cottage house

Additional Info:

This is a contract position, where the successful person will operate as an agency worker with Farm Solutions. This means that the person will not have sub-contractor responsibilities and all statutory tax deductions and payments will be made by Farm Solutions on their behalf. Hourly pay operates, which includes pay for overtime hours worked.
