Electronics Division Manager

Our client, an established and successful design and manufacturing business for over 30 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Division Manager to join their team.

This is a varied, unique and rewarding role that requires someone with current or previous Electronics Engineering / Electronics Production experience, who can ultimately design and create PCBs (with exposure of applications such as Easy-PC, Pulsonix, Altium or ORCAD for example) and write software/code (using C++, Python code or similar).

Initially managing the production of the electronics side of the business (the aim being to become familiar with production processes), the successful candidate will hold the following responsibilities:

??Managing a small team of staff working within the electronics department.
??Schedule and distributing work-load accordingly.
??Managing job flow/time taken to undertake production projects.
??Catalogue and map the production process for each unique/bespoke project.
??Compilation of all documentation for jobs on production (parts lists, work instructions, drawings, picking lists etc.).
??Scheduling work and allocating to staff.
??Ensuring the stock database is kept current.
??Ensuring the quality of products.
??Management of equipment.
??Monthly stock control and reporting.
??Ensuring jobs are delivered on time.
??Resolution of production issues.
??Lead the running of electronics production operation.

In time, the successful candidate will manage the company database to schedule meetings with new and existing customers to identify their project needs and promote further business specific to their individual and unique requirements. Responsibilities in this area include:

??Providing quotations for individual client projects.
??Providing parts/labour costs for sales quotations.
??PCB design and writing software/code.
??The undertaking of design work along with prototype production and testing.
??To grow extra business through existing customers and gain new customers.

Requirements:

??UK Driving Licence.
??Experience in Electronics Production.
??Experience in PCB design.
??Experience in writing software/code.
??Experience of working in a customer facing/business development position.
