Senior Business Travel Consultant - Out of Hours - Birmingham - Salary up to GBP22,500

We are currently recruiting for Senior Business Travel Consultant - Out of Hours for one of the UK's top independent travel management company's. Located in the heart of Birmingham this is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Business Travel Consultant with GDS knowledge to join a progressive, technology driven TMC

The responsibilities of the Senior Business Travel Consultant - Out of Hours are:

• To assist all clients with business travel bookings, amendments and cancellations
• Arrange all travel from flights, to car hire to hotels etc.
• Follow client profiles and adhere to company policy
• Be involved in the ticketing processes for all travel; checking interline/ticketing agreements and the BSP website
• To actively maintain GDS Queues.
• To ensure all service level agreements are met before completion of shift.
• Mentor and actively support junior members of the team
• Proactively maintain positive client relationships

The skills required for the Senior Business Travel Consultant - Out of Hours are:

• At least 2 years travel industry experience booking Long/Short haul air and ground products
• Experienced in a major GDS i.e. Galileo, Amadeus, Worldspan or Sabre
• Knowledge of booking flights, hotels and car hire
• Knowledge of net and published fares
• Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
• Confident interacting with clients and suppliers on the telephone.
