Gateway Housing Association is an ambitious housing association with 3,000 homes in the heart of London’s East End. We provide social rented homes, shared ownership and sheltered housing.  We develop new homes too and are part way through an exciting programme to deliver another 500 homes by 2020. We also run our own in-house maintenance service, Gateway Homeworks.

We are currently recruiting for a Leasehold Officer who will deliver a first class service to leaseholders and shared owners, ensuring service and other changes and correctly managed enquiries are dealt with swiftly.

You will monitor receipt of service charge and liaise with the Income Officer and ensure that appropriate action is taken to pursue outstanding debts in accordance with Lease agreement and Gateway Housing policy and procedure, refer cases to lenders and monitor progress in a timely manner and develop and provide a one-stop shop approach to dealing with service enquiries.

It is essential you have comprehensive knowledge of this area of work and have previous experience with working on service charge calculations, apportionments, collection and refunds.

We are looking for candidates who:

-Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude
-Is efficient and self-motivated
-Has previous experience in housing management rented and leasehold
-Has previous experience of working for a social Housing Landlord
-Has previous experience of working in a financial environment
-Has knowledge of major works income accounts
