As HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for Operations Team/Area Managers to provide advice and support on all employee relations issues.

You will help to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the company's policies and procedures, promoting a positive ER culture whilst minimising risk.

Duties

* Undertake duties supporting the use of HR Information System including inputting changes onto system; sending out relevant contractual information; chasing queries with managers; liaising with payroll to resolve queries

* Dealing with various queries from employee's such as holiday entitlement, pay, contractual queries

* Interpreting, assisting and advising employees on various matters in line with company procedures and policies, using the appropriate formal or informal company framework

* Advising Regional and Area Managers on non-complex HR queries and escalating to the HR Manager as necessary

* Responding to and putting through various queries from managers and employees, and from other agencies or departments

* Provide administrative support to the HR team including word processing; distribution of information; organising and taking notes at Disciplinary meetings

* Organising Disciplinary and Grievance meetings and when necessary attending and taking notes

* Undertake administrative duties supporting various HR processes including maternity and paternity leave; probation procedure; other terms and conditions of employment

* Undertake duties supporting the recruitment and selection function including chasing references; interview packs; contacting candidates and managers; and any other associated duties

* Attend recruitment interviews as a panel member and fully contribute towards the selection of successful candidates

Skills

* Good understanding of Employment Law

* Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing

* Have conducted or been part of grievance and disciplinary meetings
