3.5 Tonne driver, van driver, delivery driver, C&D Driver, Collection & Delivery Driver - all welcome
We are currently recruiting van drivers for Parcelforce, part of the Royal Mail Group, based in Basingstoke.
As a Collection and Delivery Driver, your day will typically start at 07:00 - 08:00am by planning your delivery route - so local knowledge would be great, along with multi-drop experience (but this isn't essential for all roles). Your responsibilities then include collecting and delivering parcels both to households and businesses. You will scan parcels on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues. You'll need to enjoy driving and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg, also you'll need to be willing to work paid overtime including possible Saturday overtime.
We are looking for positive team players who are willing and flexible enough to help colleagues ensure that all our customers get their parcels to their customers on time. You must enjoy customer interaction; have great communication skills to ensure you deliver excellent customer service.
As a van driver, the role requires the following -
* Fully checkable work history to cover the last 5 years
* Completion of a DBS (basic level criminal record check)
The pay rate for the role of van driver is GBP11.42 per hour
Weekday and Saturday Overtime rate - GBP12.42 per hour, apply once 8 hours have been worked
Sunday / Bank Holiday Overtime rate - GBP13.42 per hour, apply once 8 hours have been worked
