Our client, the fastest growing mortgage broker in the UK that provide quality, independent fee free mortgage advice to residential purchasers, property investors and commercial clients supporting this with life cover, income protection and general insurance to individuals and businesses, are recruiting!
Key responsibilities include assessing each client's needs and working out their affordability for a mortgage. You are responsible for sourcing, recommending and advising on standard residential, specialist New Build HTB, B.T.L & L.T.B mortgages and associated protection products & 2nd charge loans. Working with all New Build purchasers referred to us from our appointed Developers and other non-core developers. To provide assistance to the screening team in qualifying new clients at the weekend and throughout the week where business levels dictate this additional support.
Where appropriate, you'll qualify each client by completing a Decision in Principle with an appropriate lender to meet their needs and ensure a smooth transition of the application when completing screening duties.
Through telephone interactions with customers, you will provide exceptional customer service by deploying our core values of Trust, Teamwork, Integrity, Service and Transparency at all times, promoting a positive and professional image while processing customer transactions in a confidential and accurate manner.
You will be accountable for your own development and achievement through realistic goal setting, CPD and training.
Skills and experience required for this role
* Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice CeMAP or Certificate in Mortgage Advice Cert CII (MP). At least 5 GCSE's grade A - C (minimum C grade in both Maths & English).
* "Competent Adviser" within existing mortgage advice role for at least 6 months. Advising on owner-occupier and buy-to-let mortgages. No upheld complaints within the last two years.
* Expert knowledge of Advised Sales including knowledge of Mortgage Compliance.
* Expert knowledge of the mortgage market and be able to communicate it clearly and concisely.
* Knowledge and experience of selling a wide range of protection products to customers including life, CIC, IP and FIB.
* Customer service orientated and prepared to go the extra mile
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals. Able to develop strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, key Developers and third-party product providers. Confident, clear and professional telephone manner.
* Knowledge of Sales including knowledge of Mortgage Compliance. Expert knowledge of the mortgage market and be able to communicate it clearly and concisely.
* Driven and determined with the ability to come up with solutions on their own
* Organised, methodical with great attention to detail.
* Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
* Good research and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills
* Resilient
* Highly IT literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential)
* A sense of humour
