This is a Kitchen Porter role with a difference!
A great opportunity has arisen within our retirement village kitchens for a Kitchen Porter/ Driver. St Monica Trust is a large retirement village complex and care home with nursing based in Westbury on Trym, Bristol.
This is an unusual role in as much as not only will you be required to do the usual KP duties but you will also be required to drive the specially designed van to deliver the cooked food across the site to other parts of the retirement village.
Key Responsibilities
* The Kitchen Porter provides support to the chefs by ensuring the back of house areas are always kept to a high standard of cleanliness
* Ensure all Health and Safety standards are followed every shift
* Delivery of food using the St Monica Trust van to other kitchens within the retirement village
* Ensure the pot wash is completed in a timely manner and stored correctly
* Putting away food deliveries from suppliers and ensuring that they are rotated and stored correctly
* Support the kitchen team in regard to prep levels as required
* Full driving licence is essential
